Saturday, November 13, 2021 - Here is where I may depart from the consensus. I liked this wine more years ago when the waves of silky cherry fruit were still in ascendance. The wine today is like your grandmothers sewing room. Lots of tertiary notes of lacquer and dried flowers, etc. Has a real umami, soy-like quality to the fruit, which is more like a dried cherry and plum spread. Tannins have mostly faded. FWIW, I've owned this bottle since release and only the wine end of the cork was stained so this should be as pristine a bottle as there is.
