Saturday, March 27, 2010 - This wine was decanted and poured about fifteen minutes later. This showed an outstanding bouquet that offered aromatics of raspberry, iron, campfire, baked brick, strawberry and tar. The aromatics are complex and nuanced and at wonderful stage of maturity. The color is dark brick to dark ruby and is appropriate for the age of the wine. The medium bodied palate shows mature notes that are concentrated, balance and complex. Tannins remain and make and appearance on the finish. This is at or around its peak and should continue to drink well for a number of years.
