Monday, January 17, 2011 - Aromas of black cherry, ripe fig, and herbes de Provence. Ripe fruit on the attack and mid-palate, dark cherries, fig, blackberry - some raisin on the finish with a touch of fennel seed and tarragon. Balanced acidity and largely resolved tannins. Full-bodied - spreads across the entire palate. Enough fruit and acid to carry this another 5 or 6 years - longer if kept in a cool cellar.
