Friday, July 6, 2007 - No notes taken, but this was excellent with a grilled New York Strip at the Sawchuk's. Double decanted about seven hours before serving. Everyone loved this wine. The nose is just so interesting -- a brooding blend of dark fruit, a dark herby garrigue, beef, and mineral. On the palate this is balanced and packed with flavor. The finish is long and satisfying. I've got to keep my hands off these, because they are going to be so great with another 5-10 years of bottle age.
