Saturday, November 1, 2008 - Popped and poured over a 2+ hour meal. More closed than previous bottles I've tasted. Intense, pure, spicy black cherry/kirsch flavors and a pronounced tobacco/garrigue/dried herb component on the midpalate. Big, heady, savory, and structured. Steadily improved with air, and the last sip was the best.
