Friday, July 6, 1990 - With Kathy at home at dinner (pasta Genovese). Still a youthful straw color. Nice nose still has that complex "toasty oak" character that reminds me so much of a fine old Chassagne Montrachet. The wine is toasty and full on the palate, with good acidity bringing all of the elements into balance. Long, lemony finish. I like this style. Much more lively than the last bottle--probably because this one came straight from Hess. 5-12-16-8: 91/100.
