Sunday, July 2, 2017 - Decanted for 3 hours before dinner. Paired with grilled lamb chops when Otis and his wife visited. 81% Syrah, 8% Petit Sirah, 6% Mouvedre, 4% Touiga Nacional and 1% Graciano. 26% of the fruit was whole cluster pressed. This was one of the more approachable and restrained of the SQN reds I have had. Notes of rich red and black fruit, dark chocolate, currants and leather. No rush to drink. 94 points
