Saturday, December 23, 2017 - Intense nose of sweet cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cream, anise, vanilla, ham, white pepper, palate has more one the same, but really explodes with intensity, additional charcoal, licorice, squid ink, blackberry, roasted meats, medium+ tannins that start around mid-palate through finish, this is absolutely mind-blowing stuff, but could still use 3-4 years to calm the tannins a bit. This was a PnP but consumed slowly over 3-4 hours and got much better toward the end. Enjoyable now with a decant, but I'd hold.
