Sunday, August 2, 2020 - I was expecting a more "exotic" Syrah with this one, but I was pleasantly surprised to get such a "serious" & masculine Syrah. Needed to be decanted for at least 2-3 hours to get all the subtleties it has to offer. This wine was loaded with bacon, notes of white & pink pepper and blackberry aromas. Tannins are big, but highly polished and fine. The depth of this wine is impressive...and it offers a loooong finish. The 15.8% alcohol is perfectly integrated. Blind I would have called a Cayuse Armada Syrah...but it has even more depth and complexity. Great experience.
