Tuesday, March 3, 2020 - Very burgundian, initial whiff of cherries give way to a nose of sage and lavender. On the palate, this has fresh strawberries and cranberries, mid acidity and resolved tannins with a bit of a candied red fruit finish (maybe sweet cherries again coming full circle). This feels ready to go despite its youth. Nothing californian in this one but a delightful versatile pinot, good enough to awaken the senses without needing high complexity to be utterly enjoyable.
