Friday, October 7, 2022 - This wine needed a lot of air. It started out quite reserved and backwards and wasn’t showing much. With air, it gained weight, ripeness, and aroma, but remained balanced. Tropical fruit, citrus, peach, a bit of cream, and smoke on the nose. Rich mouthfeel, yet balanced by high acidity with more citrus notes on the palate. Long finish. A very good wine, despite the high ripeness. Could use another 5 years in the cellar to show everything. 93-94+
