Friday, November 10, 2017 - The nose was firmly rooted in the northern Rhone, with a display of ripe black fruit, sweet herbs, pepper, minerals and charred meat. On the palate, I found silky, expansive textures with tannin-encrusted black fruit, minerals, savory spices, herbs and hauntingly dark inner floral tones. The finish was long and spicy, cleaning up the palate with mouthwatering acidity.
