Saturday, December 3, 2022 - Last bottle from a case bought 5 years ago. Durand did the job again, most of the cork were pulled out intact except small pieces at the tip fell into the bottle. Nose was not entirely clean on the first sniff, notes of moldy foods, dark earth, and a slight hints of TCA. Most of the funky notes were gone after 30 mins. Amazingly this bottle still had some tannins hanging around , bright acidity level, decent complexity and good length, one of the best bottles from the case. What a fifth growth and what a bargain! I paid £340 per case in 2017.
