The nose is intensely stony and also a bit ashy, dense, and it bears the stamp of the warm vintage in its weightiness. The palate shows some of the oily texture of Meursault, and it is mostly clean and true, but it is also very fleshy and ripe. This is good wine in the context of the vintage, but it is not a terribly good Meursault.
