Thursday, March 28, 2019 - Liked this lively Otago Riesling. Drinking well already. Not overly Dry, despite FR’s claim to be. Would buy again. Very good, but not outstanding.

C...pale green

N....medium intensity only; some petro/Kerosene; greengages.

T....solid medium body, well-made taut Riesling that’s not fully mature but drinking very well anyway, impressive swirling acidity with classy fruit too. Pineapple slices drizzled with lemon/lime juice. Fell slightly short of my expectations founded on FR’s rep. Slightly. Still a very good NZ Riesling. Some lifted essence at end, some wet river stone minerals too.

VFM? I probably prefer Framingham Classic from Marlborough, which is cheaper too. And Pegasus Bay do a ‘Dry’ Riesling from North Canterbury which although Dry is slightly richer/fuller. Probably a style preference, if I’m honest.
