The fruit hits the tongue and coats it with sweet pinot. This is not an earthy type of pinot but nevertheless, it's what I was expecting. The alcohol might have showed but it didn't overwhelm. I felt the finish was still nice and long. I might agree that this wine probably won't be improving much but I also think it's going to stay this way for a while. It definitely has the strength to hold for a few years.
