Everything about the wine was well balanced with a soaring nose of asian spice and red fruit. The palate was full and although rich not cumbersome or flabby. Lots of delicious strawberry, cherry and raspberry fruit that leads to a lengthy finish of spicey red fruit and some supporting acidity. If this is what happens to Kanzler fruit with some age then I need to rethink my view on this vineyard. If you have some I would not hesitate to open a bottle. I have one left and will probably drink it next spring.
