Tuesday, December 13, 2016 - 1995 Caramino Riserva - This medium-minus bodied wine has an ruby color that bricks somewhat and lightens toward the edges. The nose was distinct with coffee, mocha, aged balsamic and port-like aromas. On the palate, there is a hint of chewy tannins though much of the fruit has dissipated. The finish is fairly short. Coravined for this taste, didn't give it much time to breathe. I'll probably just pull the cork sometime soon rather than keep checking in - the wine is 22 years old after all and I don't see it improving from here.
