Tuesday, November 24, 2009 - Waited long enough for this and I am a happy camper. Pours very dark with strong aromas of chocolate wafers, ripe cherries, and cranberry. Excellent nose to palate follow through adding defined black fruit, graphite, and minerals to the bill. Full body with a velvet tickle of tannin that balances this wine well. The finish is long and inviting. This wine is chewy with a sense of acid that springs into action that works well at this point with the tannin component. Big fruit and big backbone for supreme balance. I am thoroughly enjoying this. I shall savor the moment.
