Tuesday, April 10, 2007 - This is a wine with a deep purple color and heavy body. From the nose I got violets, eucalyptus, blackfruits and vanilla and the flavors were of blackfruit, currants, spices and tobacco. The wine started off so good, but then a little before midway through the wine the tannin comes in and hits like a sledge hammer. This wine needs to sit until at least 2010 before opening and given Trefethen's reputation for age worthy wine, this one should see the year 2025 and still be a good wine.
