Tuesday, December 12, 2023 - Serially sampled over 90 minutes from a well-cellared bottle that had been purchased upon release and double-decanted, Bryant's 2004 proved itself to be a tour de force. Comprised of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it has a youthful opaque garnet robe and flaunts of bouquet of black currants, dark bramble fruits, Bing cherries, licorice, lavender, baking spices, espresso and bittersweet chocolate. Full-bodied, fresh and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.8%), it delivers a decadent, ripe flavor profile that is comparable to the nose. At this stage, the tannins and oak are well-woven and the mid-palate is layered. Long and silky on the back end, this is a monumental Napa Cab that has plenty of life left ahead.Well-cellared bottles should reach their 35th birthday with grace. Drink now-2039.
