Saturday, December 11, 2021 - Drank a magnum at a party and thoroughly enjoyed it. Deep ruby. Med+ intensity ripe black fruit with a moderate amount of sweet spice from aging in new French oak. Dry, but fruit-forward on the palate, with med acidity and med, ripe tannins. The alcohol is high but unobtrusive. Full-bodied, with med+ flavor intensity and length, it was quite a crowd-pleaser and showing really well at 8 yrs. It still has some upside potential over the next couple of years.
