Most often for me, the nose of Burgundy really sets it apart from other Pinot Noir - on this wine, it's the texture. Texture is gorgeous - satiny with just the right amount of weight, it lies softly on your palate, keeping that gentle weight through the finish, lingering just enough. Great concentration of fruit. Black/blue fruited really pops into the finish. I wouldn't classify this as an elegant Burgundy, rather, a more muscular presentation with a build to the finish. Tremendously rewarding wine, a style I very much love.
