Sunday, May 20, 2012 - What a beautiful wine. Really nice balance of power, fruit and maturity. Lovely translucent red cherry in colour with definite orange bricking at the rim. Nose is also mature, smoked meat and stones, with notes of red cherry and currant lurking behind. Some tobacco and earth as well, nicely complex. Palate is lovely, powerful but with a lovely core of red cherry and currant sweetness, the finish lasts for ages even though it turns a little dry. Really looking forward to having this with dinner.

With some more air and dinner, upgrading to 94. Great wine.
