Saturday, March 16, 2024 - Even at this age, it needs copious amounts of air. It was intensely fruity on opening - almost overbearingly so. This feels like a very concentrated wine that needs more time in the bottle to integrate, or a long decant. With enough air, this opened up to a wonderful palate of cherry/dark fruit with a long finish. This is quite a ripe vintage/bottling of this wine.
