Thursday, May 18, 2023 - Deep indigo color. Black and blue fruit on the palate. Full bodied with integrated tannins. This was missing the power and spice of a typical Howell Mountain wine. I found this almost one dimensional without much in the way of secondary layers. Certainly, nothing was really wrong with this. There just wasn't much complexity or layering. Served with a dinner of filet mignon, brown and white rice and haricots vert.
