Thursday, February 9, 2023 - Napa 2023: the quieter version; 2/6/2023-2/11/2023 (Napa/Sonoma California): Trying this trio across vintages you can see that this has a really wonderful life ahead (I think perhaps with time it becomes at least as good or maybe even better than the ‘93 which is right now just an amazing wine). There’s a grippiness in style to this. More dark fruits. Very classic styling. Good acid. Just the tiniest hint of age (mostly because the 2018 is showing a bit more one-dimensional). Drinking well now honestly although too young for my preference.
