Very long finish, perfectly mature, not tannic but still enough acidity to give it good structure. The only reason it didn't rate even higher was that it could have been a bit more intense -- this is quibbling, it's obviously a great wine, but (for example) the 90 Montrose seemed to be even a bit more intense and complex the last time I tasted it. It would be interesting to taste them against each other some time. By the way, it went great with lamb in a bordelaise sauce -- go figure.
