Monday, September 25, 2017 - A blend of 3 sites: Buntsandstein, Buntsandstein-Ida, and Muschelkalk. Decanted for 1.5 yesterday. From memory. Aromas were more about herbs, green stems, earth with some red fruit peaking out. Similar with the palate although more fruit emerges with time. Put about 1/2 bottle into 2-187 ml bottles and on day 2, much better. Pretty red cherries has come more into the fore and balances the earth and green elements. Elegant with nice acids that keep the palate lifted. Of course, the best sip was the last - excellent with rare tuna steak topped with basil and garlic-infused olive oil. Looking forward to how this wine will evolve with time.
