Saturday, May 7, 2016 - Wines and Grill (Chicago, IL): Good Napa is always such a lovely experience, and this bottle was no exception. A wine to truly get excited about -- this had a touch of pyrazine on the nose, and just some muted black fruit and slight vegetal character that you find from the good cabernet. There's a perennial joke about Dunn never being ready. Well, this bottle is ready. Certainly the fruit takes a backseat to the firm structure, but if you give this your attention, it's certainly possible to plumb its depths.
