Wednesday, October 5, 2016 - This presents itself somewhere between a Cru Beaujolais and a California Pinot Noir, and it does so very well. Medium bodied visually and on the palate with an attractive flavor profile. More like Gamay on the nose (this is a German Pinot Noir) with grapey/floral aromatics and supporting smokey tar notes. Gets surprisingly velvety on the palate with a luscious long finish featuring attractive cola and strawberry rhubarb notes that invite another sip. Outstanding. Sample for review.
