Tuesday, May 16, 2017 - Acquired this in a mixed case from the BerserkerDay 2017 event this year. Such a refreshingly unique and unctuous wine. The medium alcohol level was a welcome change from the full throttle wines of late we've drank and the acidity was lip smacking good. Apparently a textbook Carignan: Succulent red fruits being mainly red pomegranate and hint of raspberry punctuated by spicy characteristics of baking spice and licorice with a touch of that meaty umami without being gamey. An honest wine at an even more honest price point.
