The color is an inky black/deep red. Really a unique and interesting concoction. The first thing you notice when you taste is the searing tannins. The taste is dominated by concentrated, liquor-like black fruit with some spice. Extremely well balanced and controlled. I would guess this will merit a score in the range 94 - 96 with a few years of bottle age, but wouldn't be surprised if it was even better.
