Sunday, April 22, 2007 - Dinner w/ Dave & Chris (Our House): Single decanted about two hours. Midnight black color. Amazing nose of crushed blackberries, smoke, soy, iron, and toasty oak. Very concentrated Quilceda blueberries, violets, and black fruits on the palate, with tannins that intensified with each sip. Showing a LOT of new oak. This will probably close down within the next 12-18 months, but for now this wine is showing well and hinting at future greatness.
