92 Points

Saturday, October 28, 2017 - Seymour Wine Club Meeting 10/28/17 (Home of the Alapatt's): Tasted blind. Aromas of kumquat, mineral and tropical fruit. Flavors of tropical fruit, lime and slate. Had a nice finish of 25 seconds. I had this pegged as a Viognier because it was cold and that's what it really tasted like. Certainly not a Chardonnay. I had this tied for 3rd and it was the group's 4th favorite of the night. I tasted this after the big reveal when it had some time to warm up and it changed quite a bit. Definitely not a Viognier at that point and would have dropped my score. So the secret here is to keep it really cold and this can be a really nice, inexpensive wine.
