Friday, March 10, 2023 - Should have decanted for sediment. Medium bright crimson color. Nose of cassis, black cherry, a touch of toasty oak, some purple florals. Still very primary. Similar flavors on the palate with a mix of dark red and black fruits along with some vanilla and spice from the oak. Medium+ acid, medium tannin. Smooth mouthfeel. I do not believe this wine is in danger of falling off any time soon but also not sure where it will go flavor wise. I would probably drink up sooner rather than later while the fruit still carries the wine.
