Sunday, November 13, 2022 - Decided to do a follow up on the 2014 Darioush Merlot. I last tasted this wine in 2018 and it appears this wine has improved beyond belief. The tannins are fully integrated and has developed into a fully balanced wine.
Aromas of black pepper, dark chocolate, black plum and fresh fig take control of the nose and don’t let go. The palate is richly rewarded with a swirl of black fruit and baking spices.
This wine is in its peak drinking window right now. Opening this bottle now will not disappoint.
