Tuesday, December 25, 2018 - A pale almost translucent ruby in appearance, a nose of delicate cherries and raspberries, the tang of cranberries, a smoky backdrop, and with aeration you get hints of florality - maybe the faint vanilla of winter clematis. Light and smooth on the palate there is still enough acidity and tannin to give a bit of bite with food. The flavour and finish is of sour cooked cherries. A delightful lissome wine that slips down so easily , yet with all the character of a serious Pinot Noir. Easy drinking but totally satisfying.
