Wednesday, June 1, 2022 - Another Excellent La Villa from Seghesio.
Directly after opening one gets red berries (sour cherries) and some other typical varietal notes like violets. After 30 minutes it starts to close down and with some additional time you get some mint and camomile. Pretty complex wine with still broody tannins. I will wait 3-5 more years for another bottle to open.
Shows the potential of the 2013 vintage for Barolo.
