Saturday, March 12, 2022 - The last of three vintages drunk with friends to accompany lamb shanks. (2005, 2001, 1990). A late addition to the evening, so opened and poured. All three vintages were very good, but this was probably best in terms of drinking quality at the moment. Still young looking in the glass, bright ruby. Lovely bouquet of rich hedgerow fruits. Smooth and rounded palate, slipped down beautifully. Excellent.
