91 Points

Saturday, March 3, 2012 - Decanted for about 2 hours to pair with pan-fried steaks. Dark garnet color. Nose of musk, pine forest, cedar, blackberries, Indian spcies. Extremely smooth entry on the palate with integrated layers of black currant, plum, chocolate, leather, and a hint of tobacco. Low acidity and sweetened tannins leading to a long, nuanced finish of grippy red fruits. Not a powerhouse but rather a seamless, elegant, effortlessly concentrated beaut of a wine coming into its drinking window.
