Sunday, November 23, 2014 - Last bottle of a case. Opened 2 hours before dinner, decanted 45 minutes before dinner. Classic Bordeaux with a small modern twist. Elegant, mid weight wine with fine balance and some tertiary characteristics of mushroom and leather, but still shows nice red and black fruit. The oak note I descibed last time was evident on opening, but blew off in decanter. Very fine wine, on its plateau. Not declining, but I'd plan to consume in the next few years if you have them.

It was a great pleasure drinking a case of this, purchased on release. Starting drinking in 2009. Consumed during both happy and sad occasions. Always seemed right.
