Tuesday, February 15, 2022 - Trio of 1983, 1990, & 1991: The 1983 was lovely, graceful, and charming, all in an understated way. Essentially everything you want with this vintage. The 1990 was robust, and a bit of a bruiser. Great fruit, drank very well, yet still an adolescent at age 32. The 1991 was class in a glass, and ultimately my favorite. While the phrase balanced is out of vogue with many tasters, this was balanced (there, I said it). Edging into its tertiary phase, the 1991 is simply a complete and fantastic wine. The trio was a great example of 1+1+1 equaling much more than 3. A delightful tasting.
