Thursday, February 23, 2023 - There's a chance that there was some degree of TCA taint or maybe this was simply tighter than a drum, even after a two hour decant. The fruit was muted, with all the earthy and savory notes turned up, which isn't something I would expect from Faury or from a warmer vintage like '15. On the plus side, even with the fruit lagging, it was still a pretty complex wine and a good foil for a very rich Beef Bourguignon.
