Wednesday, November 15, 2017 - Lowest fill of the 6 bottle lot won at auction and I'm hoping the better fills are as good or better than this pleasant surprise. Cork extracted with the Durand, the perfume on this wine is stunning for a 42 year old wine. Cigar box, sandalwood, savory meats and almost a floral component are present. Medium bodied palate, and the first small pour is still youthful with some tannin unresolved. Will revisit after it gets a little air in the bottle.
