Tuesday, December 22, 2015 - I bought several bottle at Binny's in St. Charles, Il after a tasting with the maestro himself. Binny's couldn't muster more than about 20 in attendance but what an experience to meet Angelo, who was humble and approachable. This wine was, to memory, from youngish Bolgheri vines and it never really met my expectations. Pretty good lift in the nose with fir, spice and berry notes. Flavors seem a bit faded, red currant, pepper and good acid backbone. Wanted more, got less.
