Sunday, June 3, 2018 - Delicious Portuguese red wine from the Alentejo region where any (and many are) grapes can be grown. Equal portions Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Perite Verdot, and the traditional Portuguese Touriga Nacional usually found in Port wines.

Huge fruit with also huge and supportive acidity. Big fruit. Soft yet present tannins support this package. Delicious, and "normal" in flavours unlike some Portuguese wines especially ones from Douro where traditional grapes must be used.

This Amantis Reserva line also includes a white made from Viognier, my wife and I are crazy for this wine. Check it out if you can find it, showing wonderful color, flavor and aromas of aged white wine.

All in all couldn't be more excited by these offerings from Dona Maria.
