Sunday, September 13, 2015 - Earlier bottles of this were excellent, demonstrating that there are gems to be found in the overlooked 2004 vintage, but although this bottle still had a vivid dark colour, the fruit had almost gone from the nose, which was simply dumb, and this was largely confirmed on the palate. Some hints of its earlier class remained, but the wine is now rather lean and astringent. This might be an off bottle, but if not, this is now heading downhill fast.
