96 Points

Thursday, October 15, 2015 - Decidedly the wine of the night out of '95 and '96 First Growths. A huge nose that initially head-faked Pauillac with forest floor, lead pencil, loamy soil, and soaked leather, but later gave off more floral perfume and medicinal aromas. Some sweetness on the palate with great boulder / river rock minerality. Rich red berry fruit throughout, never tart. Interesting notes of acrylic paint appear later on. Tannins are melting in perfectly. Just awesome.
