Monday, December 30, 2019 - A Californian Cabernet.
On nose: coffee, ripe berry , cassis and oak.
On palate: all of the above notes in addition to moderately high alcohol ...a two hour decant is necessary.....still very young.
As it warms , dark fruit preserves and tobacco with warm notes of faint vanilla arrive.....ultimately this is a pricier version of the ubiquitous J.Lohr Cab.....clearly New World ....not bad, may improve with age.
